Let's all please welcome our first ever Babes with a Bow... Brenna.
She took up archery back in '96 and found that she was a natural at
instinctive shooting and now studies Zen Archery. We asked if she
wouldn't mind posing with a few of our sharp, pointy toys and she said
she would if she could pose with her own sword. Naturally we said yes
(we never say no to a well armed Babe).
As for our ever present Jackie Chan question... she thinks he's funny
and enjoys the outtakes almost as much as the film. |

| The first bow this
awesome archer is posing with is a 65 pound Mongolian Horsebow, the next
is a 50 pound Martin Mountaineer with a Flemish bowstring and the last
two shots are of her with a 22 pound bow made back in 1932 with ebony
reinforcement tips with a string handmade by a friend of theirs. For
that matter, even her arrows are handmade. Skippy and Moriarty tried to
get Ohshee to put an apple on his head for target practice, fortunately,
our Production Manager reminded them our insurance policy didn't cover
this sort of thing. |

| The sword you see
this lovely lass wielding is known as an 1860's British Cross with a stitched
leather grip and it's in great shape. We hope we look that good when
we're 140 years old. |

Brenna of the Bow is a babe of ancient legend. (No, really!! We looked it up on the urban legends website.) Her story begins many centuries ago as a young colleen on the Emerald Isle. Brenna and her younger brother grew up as typical siblings on the simple plot of land their father tilled for what food they could eat. To supplement their little crop the family took to hunting (read that poaching) on Lord Marley’s gaming property, leading to close calls with the authorities. It was on one such occasion that Brenna’s little brother decided to hide from her and let fly his smaller arrows at her. After one such arrow whizzed by her cloak she decided to retaliate by stalking him. Unbeknownst to them the Lord’s men were also in the forest searching for poachers. Brenna took aim at her brother’s hat and loosed the arrow. He ducked and it flew past him and into two of the Lord’s men. By all accounts she swears that while she did shoot the sheriff, she did not shoot the deputy.
